“Son Donates Liver to Save Father, Graduates Just Days Before Surgery”

“You’ve Saved Your Papa”: A Son’s Liver Donation That Changed Everything
A Diagnosis That Tested a Family

“After surgery, the doctor smiled at Him & said, ‘you’ve saved your papa!’ He cried happy tears.”

Fortunately, he was a match, but He had a fatty liver. He had to donate 65% of his liver for him.

So He exercised & ate properly.

Every day became a step toward hope.

A Race Against Fear and Time

After several tests, he was told he was healthy for surgery!

He was relieved but Papa sobbed!

His Dad told him, “What if you develop complications? I won’t forgive myself!”

The fear of losing a child weighed heavier than the illness itself.

A Promise No Illness Could Break

But he told his Dad, “Your battle is mine. We’re not going to lose!”

And 2 days before our surgery, he graduated!

Papa said, “I was scared I wouldn’t see this day. You’ve made me the happiest Dad in the world!”

We had only one more test to pass & I prayed for the surgery to go smoothly.

The Moment That Changed Everything

When He woke up after surgery, the doctor smiled at him & said, “You’ve saved your Papa!”

He cried happy tears.

When Papa saw each other’s scars, he said, “We fought this battle together & won!”

Healing, Laughter, and Ludo

The tension they both felt for months had evaporated!

And in fact, the journey to recovery was fun!

We learnt how to operate our wheelchairs together & spent time playing Ludo.

Laughter returned before strength did.

A Lesson Carved in Love

Today, Both are fit.

If this experience has taught us anything, it’s that life is uncertain & that family is everything…

except if it’s a game of Ludo; then it’s all about winning!
